What does the prostate do?
The prostate is a small gland that secretes a fluid that helps in the transport of spermatozoids. It sits near the base of the bladder, and the urethra passes through it, which is why prostate health and comfortable urination go hand in hand, especially in older male pets.
When should I see my veterinarian?
If your pet strains to urinate or defecate, has blood in the urine, or passes thin, ribbon-like stools, please see your veterinarian. PROSTAPET can be used alongside your vet's care.
What can affect my pet's prostate health?
- Age;
- Hormonal changes (especially in intact males);
- General health and activity level.

We have been giving this kit for several weeks now and I have noticed a decrease in the frequency of the need to urinate for him as well and a better flow of urine. I am very happy with this kit and will continue using it.
